I have had a manual bay panel built by Etowah Valley Equipment 4+ years ago. It was ordered through my distributor at their recommendation. We wanted to get card readers, and bill acceptors in our manual bays. To get straight to the point, the card reader has been a nightmare and the support has been even worse. Come to find out the problems I have dealt with since the purchase of this panel is consistent with others who have used or are currently using Etowah Valley made and distributed equipment. The support is terrible. They are always arrogant and blaming some other person or party as the faulty one. After days of trouble shooting and discussing with professional installers and distributors to isolate the issue it was most certainly Etowah Valley’s component. Etowah Valley’s response is always: it is someone else’s responsibility or the old lighting strike excuse. Which if it was lighting, I would have been struck every year since I bought their panel, though nothing else in the facility has ever had the lightning issue, and I use Hamilton equipment in all other bays. Once you call Etowah Valley out on the issue it is the same answer every time, send the timer in and we will look at it. Then it costs you a service call and replacement (always requires an upgrade to new version). I can never get an answer as to why you have to upgrade other than they do not “WANT” to support the old faulty stuff they sold you. How about take some responsibility. All the users have identified the problems. We know your product is junk. Fix the problems (at Etowah Valley’s expense, not a new version 3.0 at customers expense) and admit you have a problem. I will not spend one more cent with Etowah Valley until I get an apology for their arrogance, issues they continue to deny exist, and for charging me a premium price for inferior product!

There inaction costs us, owners, a lot of money, and they continue to do business the same way, they take no ownership and are unapologetic about it. Mean while I am apologizing to all my card customers because the timer continues to charge the last card swiped over and over and over, until a new card is swiped. Then it repeats the process. The timer also is not compatible with voice over IP, land line modem only, which they will tell you is either the card service providers problem or the phone companies problem. When you figure this out you then have to pay for another line specificall for their modem. Mean while I have to make everything right with MY customers (which I value my customers business).
